Proofreading clients include Canon and Hertz. I am also able to adapt US
English texts to UK English. I have previously provided this service for

delivery to translators;
- Editor of the quarterly internal newsletter with sole responsibility for
overseeing all production stages through to publication on the intranet and
distribution company-wide;
- Revision of multi-language translations on a word-by-word basis using
glossaries, translation memories and reference material where appropriate to
ensure correct and consistent use of client-approved terminology;
- Checking layout of post-DTP PDF files;
- Frequent liaison with translators/editors to clarify any linguistic issues
arising as a result of the quality control process;
- Marking up of amendments on the hard copy using standard proofing symbols
and keying-in on-screen.


PERSONAL INTERESTS:

I enjoy reading both Modern and Classical French and English literature and
am learning Italian. As a member of my local leisure centre, I am a frequent
visitor to the gym. I am also a keen cinema-goer.
